Sailor Moon S Episode 90 - 127

The series starts out with an ill omen from Rei. She had had a dream that all the Senshi had been turned into statues and then destroyed by a dark power. This dream disturbed her, so much that she started treating Usagi nicely. Usagi was even more surprised by this. Meanwhile, a new enemy had arrived. Professor Tomoe, a shadowed figure who was only visible by his glasses and weird smile, was working on a daimon egg. He explained to his companion, Kaolinite, that a daimon egg would steal a heart crystal from someone with a pure heart. Since they were looking for the three talismans that were sealed inside pure human hearts, they would have to search for three people with pure hearts with the daimon eggs. Tomoe sent Kaolinite out with the daimon egg to find someone with a pure heart.

Unfortunately for Rei, she was the first victim of Kaolinite's. Kaolinite released the daimon egg, which transformed into a monster and pinned Rei against a tree. Usagi heard Rei's screams and transformed, but the monster was very strong. Tuxedo Kamen even threw a rose and encouraged Sailor Moon to use her "Moon Princess Halation" attack, but it didn't work on the monster. Then the monster bit Sailor Moon's brooch; the silver crystal stopped glowing and Sailor Moon transformed back to Usagi.

This is when we first meet the notorious Sailor Uranus and Neptune. They appeared shadowed, and hidden in a tree. When the monster took out Rei's heart crystal, a red, 4-pointed star, Uranus and Neptune destroyed the monster and took the heart crystal. However, they said it wasn't a talisman, so they returned the crystal to Rei and left.

The second episode of the series describes how Usagi powers up and receives her "Spiral Moon Heart Attack!" and her new Moon Heart Rod. It was basically born of Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Moon's love for each other (aww...). Now Sailor Moon was able to defeat the Monster-Of-The-Days. Sailor Moon realized that a new enemy had come when Kaolinite kept trying to steal heart crystals. Each time the MOTD got the heart crystal from a pure heart, Uranus and Neptune would arrive on the scene and steal the heart crystal to see if it was a talisman or not. When they found out it wasn't a talisman, they would return it to the person so that the person wouldn't die (which would happen if the heart crystal is gone for too long). Sailor Moon kept asking Neptune and Uranus to join them, but Neptune and Uranus continued to stay aloof of the girls. They thought Sailor Moon was too weak to bother with. Sometimes they might help out the girls if they were being attacked by a monster... but usually they'd just leave the battle scene as soon as they checked the heart crystal.

About the same time that Sailor Neptune and Uranus appeared on the scene, the girls learned about Kaiou Michiru, a beautiful and talented violinist, and Ten'ou Haruka, a handsome and equally-talented racer. At first the girls thought that Haruka was a boy and that Michiru was his girlfriend, until they found out that Haruka was a girl as well. Michiru and Haruka were both a year older than the girls, although usually they'd act much older than the girls, and call them "cute" or "full of life." Although they were friendly with the girls, and the girls respected them a lot, Michiru and Haruka remained mysterious. Eventually we learn what everyone's suspected: Michiru and Haruka are Sailor Neptune and Uranus.

Professor Tomoe kept getting annoyed when Kaolinite hadn't found any talismans, so Kaolinite promised to find one by checking an "extremely pure heart." Well, Usagi happened to have one. Kaolinite attacked Usagi on her birthday, June 30th, by attaching the daimon egg to Usagi's glass slippers (a present from Mamoru). However, when attacking Usagi, Usagi tried to take out her heart compact and transform. The monster knocked it away and took out Usagi's heart crystal. It began to glow in a strange way, and Kaolinite was happy that they finally found a talisman. Uranus and Neptune were watching as well, and they both felt bad. They knew they had to get the talismans at any cost, to "stop the silence from coming," but Usagi was still their friend.

However, guess who arrived to save her? Tuxedo Kamen! Using his rose, he knocked Usagi's heart crystal back into her and rescued her, and they both escaped across the buildings. Kaolinite was really annoyed, but then noticed the heart compact that the monster had knocked away. She realized it was the same as Sailor Moon's heart compact, and concluded that Usagi was Sailor Moon.

Kaolinite and the monster were tailing Usagi and Tuxedo Kamen, with Uranus and Neptune following at a distance. Tuxedo Kamen and Usagi got stuck in a parking garage, and he told Usagi to escape while he held off Kaolinite. However, the monster sprayed him with something that froze him in this crystal, and Kaolinite taunted Usagi calling her "Sailor Moon."

At that moment the Sailors arrived at the scene. Kaolinite told them that if they wanted Tuxedo Kamen they'd have to come to Tokyo Tower and give her Usagi's heart crystal. Then she vanished with Tuxedo Kamen. The Senshi said that they should figure out a plan, since it was a trap, but Usagi just ran off. Mars cried, "Do you think you can do everything by youself??" but Usagi didn't listen. Then Michiru and Haruka pulled up in a car and asked if she needed a ride. Usagi gladly took it and they sped off.

Michiru asked Usagi if she'd made up with Mamoru, since (an episode before) Mamoru had forgotten Usagi's birthday, and Usagi suddenly got very sad. Haruka, still upset about what they were going to do to Usagi, said that everyone in the world was sacrificing each other, and that sometimes sacrifices were necessary. Usagi remembered that Uranus and Neptune had said that before, and wondered if Haruka or Michiru were them. Then Usagi replied that the people who were sacrificing others were fine, but what about the people who were being sacrificed? She said that she couldn't stand to see anybody unhappy, and thought that if everybody worked together, nobody would have to be sacrificed. Michiru smiled, and said Usagi was a very nice girl.

They arrived at the tower, and Usagi thanked Haruka for the ride and ran off. Michiru asked Haruka if she was really sure, and Haruka said that "Odango Atama*" would have to be sacrificed. Meanwhile Kaolinite invited Usagi into an elevator while the Senshi arrived at the Tower. They couldn't get in, and then Luna told Venus that everything was "up to her." Usagi and Kaolinite reached the top, and Usagi saw Tuxedo Kamen frozen in glass. Kaolinite threatened him again, and Usagi said she didn't care about herself, but to not touch him. The monster extracted the crystal and, of course, Uranus and Neptune appeared and stole it. Then they realized it wasn't a talisman. Neptune said that the "brilliance" of the heart crystal was related to its pureness, not to it being a talisman. Uranus was very relieved, and returned the crystal to her, but Kaolinite she'd kill Usagi anyway, or "Sailor Moon!" Then someone called out "That girl is not Sailor Moon!"

The Senshi appeared along with "Sailor Moon." Kaolinite couldn't believe it. The Senshi started making fun of Usagi, saying that a crybaby like Usagi couldn't really be Sailor Moon. Meanwhile, Usagi was getting a tad annoyed. Kaolinite was so angry she threw away Usagi's heart compact. Uranus and Neptune decided to make one of their trademark flights from the battle scene, but Kaolinite took off after them and told the monster to call all the Senshi. Venus explained to Usagi that she'd used the Luna Pen to transform, and Usagi (with a big sweat drop) asked Venus to take off that disguise. Then she transformed and destroyed the monster. At the same time the glass around Tuxedo Kamen vanished, and Sailor Moon was relieved that he was okay.

On the roof, Kaolinite was battling with Uranus and Neptune. The Senshi arrived on the scene, and Kaolinite started attacking them too. Mercury said they should attack her with the "Sailor Planet Attack," but Mars pointed out that they would get attacked while powering up. However, Tuxedo Kamen attacked her with his extendable cane, and kept her busy while they were powering up. The girls hit Kaolinite with the attack, and although she was badly hurt, she wasn't destroyed. She was about to attack them again, but Uranus knocked her off the building with her "World Shaking" attack.

Professor Tomoe decided to start using the Witches 5 as a replacement for Kaolinite. He picked Eudial first, a smart inventor and a terrible driver. Eudial pointed out that a new method of making daimon eggs might be a good idea, by attaching the egg to an inaminate object to associate the daimon egg with the monster (for instance, an egg attached to a tea cup would be a monster about tea). Tomoe agreed to the plan. Eudial also used a gun to extract a heart crystal, and would shoot people at a distance to get them.

Meanwhile, Chibi-usa had returned as "Sailor Chibi Moon." She said her mother, Neo-Queen Serenity, wanted her to train in the future. She also told Chibi-usa to makes lots of friends, so Chibi-usa started to look around for friends (especially for boys ^.~). About the same time, the last of the Inner Senshi had their pure heart taken out, which happened to be Sailor Venus. Minako was depressed that everyone had had their heart crystal taken out, and began to wonder if she didn't have a pure heart. So, in order to get a pure heart, she started donating lots of blood and doing good deeds. The girls were a little perplexed at this, but then Eudial shot Minako. Unlike most of the heart crystal victims, Minako didn't pass out or collapse. What she did was she grabbed her heart crystal and made this funny laugh. Usagi was perplexed, and Minako declared happily that she had a pure heart. Then she ran off, with Eudial, the girls, and Haruka and Michiru in confused pursuit. Minako finally collapsed in a parking garage, and Eudial was amazed at her "stamina." She was about to take the heart crystal, but Usagi told her to stop (meanwhile, Michiru and Haruka had snuck in and were watching). Eudial was annoyed and released the daimon, who sealed up the parking garage so that "no Sailor Soldiers could get in" ^.^ Usagi noticed that Michiru and Haruka were in there, and thought she couldn't transform. But when Eudial was about to take the heart crystal, Usagi transformed anyway. Michiru and Haruka were shocked.

The monster started attacking Sailor Moon, and pinned her down. Eudial was about to take the heart crystal again, but then Michiru and Haruka transformed. Sailor Moon was really shocked. Sailor Neptune attacked the monster, and Sailor Moon used her "Moon Spiral Heart Attack" on Eudial and the monster. However, Eudial counterattacked using her fire gun, crying "Witchy Eudial Fire Buster!" Sailor Moon's attack was deflected by Eudial, but then it hit the MOTD ^_^0 With the monster gone, the seal on the building was gone, and the Inner Senshi rushed in.

Eudial was happy that her attack was as strong as Sailor Moon's, and told all the Senshi to gather in a group or she would fry Minako. Meanwhile, Minako had woken up, and transformed. Eudial was perplexed that all of them had been Sailor Senshi. Sailor Venus used her "Venus Love-Me Chain" to damage Eudial's gun, and Eudial quickly ran off. Sailor Uranus and Neptune were about to leave, and Sailor Moon asked them (again) why they were looking for talismans. Uranus and Neptune just told them it was none of their business, and left.

That night Michiru and Haruka had a dream. When they woke up, they were sure that they would get a talisman that day.

Tomoe had grown impatient with Eudial, and gave her one more chance. Eudial programmed her computer to search through the files of everyone in Tokyo and see if they had a talisman (why didn't she do this in the first place??). Then she left it running. While going to her locker, Eudial found tacks in her shoes and snails all around her clothes, and heard Mimete bragging to the rest of the Witches 5 that she was the one who'd replace Eudial. Eudial was annoyed that her former student, Mimete, had turned on her, and vowed to find the talismans as fast as possible. Meanwhile, her computer had results as to the talismans...

Eudial called up Haruka's (and Michiru's) residence, and left a message on the answering machine. She started laughing into the message and gloating about finding the people with talismans, and then the message cut off. So Eudial called back and finished her message: that if they want the talismans, to come to a certain place, and she faxed them the map. Haruka and Michiru thought she was telling the truth, since it coincided with their dreams. The Inner Senshi were still dealing with the surprise that Michiru and Haruka were Neptune and Uranus, when Haruka called up Usagi and asked her to go to an aquarium. Chibi-usa relayed this message to Mamoru, who wondered if Usagi would be okay. A long dark-haired young woman watched their conversation and then walked away.

Usagi arrived at the aquarium, which was at the top of a building, and was amazed. She asked them if she could bring her friends next time, but they didn't answer. Then Haruka said to never appear in front of them again. Usagi pointed out that they were all Sailor Senshi, so they should work together. Then Haruka ripped away Usagi's heart compact and said that if Usagi interferes with them, she'd die. They transformed.

Uranus said, "We are looking for the three talisman hidden in the pure hearts of people. If we don't get all three, the holy grail will not appear."
Neptune said, "The end of the world is coming. The only way to save us is the Messiah, who can use the talismans." However, when Usagi asked what they were talking about, they said it had nothing to do with her. They took off in a helicopter outside.

Then the long-haired young woman walked up, and asked, "Do you want to help them?" When Usagi asked who she was, she replied she was an old friend of Haruka and Michiru, and that her name was Meiou Setsuna. Setsuna pointed out that it would be dangerous to follow, but Usagi said she'd be okay, and Setsuna told her where Neptune and Uranus were going.

Sailor Neptune and Uranus arrived at a cathedral under construction. Taking Uranus' hand, Neptune said that they shouldn't worry about each other in there and only care about getting the talismans. Uranus asked her why she was telling her that when she already knew. "Of course..." Neptune said, and she let go of Uranus' hand. They entered the cathedral into this weird sort of maze that was more like a huge Table Hockey arena. Eudial had a model of the Table Hockey, and she would push the hockey figurines, making the walls down there close and attempt to smoosh Uranus and Neptune. Uranus and Neptune dodged the walls well enough, until Uranus almost got hit. Neptune pushed her out of the way, and got caught by the wall which hit her against the wall, did a spin, and Neptune was gone. Uranus was shocked and cried out, "Neptune!" and then she heard Eudial over speaks. Eudial said that she had the first talisman, and that to come to the area of the cathedral if she wanted to save Neptune. Uranus didn't believe that Neptune had a talisman.

Uranus entered the main area of the cathedral to see Neptune attached to a block across a bridge. Uranus started running across the bridge but bullets came out of the sides of walls and hit her. She collapsed. Eudial laughed at her, and said that anybody who attempted to cross the bridge besides her would feel the "wrath of heaven." She assured Uranus that she hadn't taken out Neptune's talisman yet, but instead was going to take out the talisman in Uranus' pure heart!

Sailor Uranus didn't believe her. She pointed out that only a pure heart could have a talisman, and she didn't have one. Eudial said "We'll see," and pointed out that Uranus didn't want to "get her hands dirty" by sacrificing someone for a talisman. Eudial was about to shoot Uranus with her gun, when suddenly Neptune broke free of her block and cried out Haruka's name. She immediately got hit by the bullets coming out of the walls. Uranus told Neptune to stop, but Neptune kept going and kept getting shot. Eventually the bullets ran out, but Neptune simply fell on Eudial, who shot her. Her talisman came out, the "Aqua Mirror." Uranus couldn't believe that they had the talismans, and looking up, asked, "Messiah, is this the punishment for our deeds?" Then someone cried, "Stop right there!"

Usagi ran in and pushed Eudial off the bridge. Then Usagi asked the talisman to go back into Michiru, but Uranus told her to stop. She handed Usagi her heart compact, and then was about to shoot herself with Eudial's gun. Usagi couldn't believe it, and tried to take the gun away from her. Uranus said it was the only way, but Usagi said that they didn't need the talismans to win. Uranus stared at her, as Usagi said, "We'll win somehow!" Uranus remarked that when hearing Usagi say that, she thought they could win somehow. "For a minute back there, you looked like the Messiah," Uranus said. "But, I don't believe in your power!" Uranus pushed her away, and asked her to keep the talismans. Then she shot herself. Uranus fell over as the second talisman came out: the Space Sword. The Inner Senshi arrived to see Usagi crying over the bodies of Uranus and Neptune.

Uranus whispered to Usagi that it didn't matter what happened to them, but she asked her to protect the talismans and find the last one, and then give the Holy Grail to the legendary Messiah. Usagi asked her who the Messiah was, and Uranus replied that when the Messiah received the Holy Grail, the world would be saved. Then Uranus went silent. Usagi got scared, but Mars said that they were breathing a little. Then Eudial appeared and Usagi transformed. Eudial blasted them with her "New and improved Fire Buster II!", stole the talismans, and took off. They were all stuck behind a wall of fire, and none of the girls' attacks worked. Then Chibi Moon and Tuxedo Kamen arrived, and Chibi Moon transformed her Luna P to a fire extinguisher and got rid of the flames. Tuxedo Kamen said he'd look after Uranus and Neptune, so the girls took off after Eudial. Eudial heard them, so she sprayed some sticky stuff across the floor to capture the Inner Senshi and Chibi Moon. However, since Sailor Moon was lagging behind, she was able to get across the glue by jumping on the bodies of the girls. As Mars put it, "If you don't get Eudial, we won't forgive you!"

Eudial reached yet another main hall of the cathedral, and Sailor Moon arrived behind her. Eudial pointed out that she wasn't strong enough to beat her "Fire Buster II," but Sailor Moon attacked her anyway. Well, it didn't work. Eudial was about to finish Sailor Moon off, when Setsuna arrived and told her to give back the talismans. Then she transformed to Sailor Pluto. She said that she had the last talisman, and indicated the orb at the end of her Garnet Rod.

Eudial was happy that she didn't have to search for the last talisman, but Pluto said that talismans shouldn't be in the hands of evil people. Pluto lifted up her talisman, and the Space Sword and Aqua Mirror floated up too to form a triangle. Pluto's tiara disappeared and her planetary symbol showed, and the same happened to Uranus and Neptune. They disappeared and reappeared in that room, where they woke up. Uranus and Neptune were very surprised that they were alive, and realized that no sacrifices had to be made to take out the talismans. Then the talismans created the Holy Grail. Pluto remarked that whoever held the Holy Grail would decide the fate of the planet. Then Eudial said, "It... will be mine!"

Eudial fired off her gun again, capturing everyone in the flames again. Then she started running towards the Holy Grail. Sailor Moon saw what was happening and started running towards the Holy Grail too. Eudial blasted her with her gun, but Sailor Moon simply got up again and kept running. They both jumped up at the same time, but Sailor Moon pushed her aside and grabbed the Holy Grail. Then she was transformed to Super Sailor Moon. Uranus and Neptune were amazed, and wondered if she was the Messiah. Eudial tried her gun on Sailor Moon again, but Super Sailor Moon simply held up her hand and the fire was blasted back at Eudial. Eudial got badly hurt, and took off in her car. However, Mimete had rigged the brakes in her car, so Eudial went off a cliff. Then Super Sailor Moon transformed back to Sailor Moon and was exhausted. Uranus and Neptune replied that she wasn't the Messiah after all, since the Messiah could expend lots of energy and never get tired. So Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto decided that this was their new mission.

Professor Tomoe had developed a different type of daimon, which would swallow the person's heart crystal and bring it back to him. He chose Mimete to be the next major baddie, but Mimete wasn't very serious about finding pure hearts. She'd rather read mangas and chase after idols. Maybe that's why the people she'd get heart crystals from were idols or manga drawers ^.^ Meanwhile, Setsuna talked to the Inner Senshi and told them that if the evil Messiah got the Holy Grail, the world would be destroyed, but if the good Messiah got the Holy Grail, the world would be saved. However, Setsuna didn't team up with them, and said she'd go around with Michiru and Haruka. The girls wondered why they did everything on their own all the time, and Ami said they had to find the Messiah themselves. When Sailor Moon had to fight a Monster-of-the-Day, she found that her old attack didn't work anymore. However, when she touched the Holy Grail, she said, "Crisis, make up!" and was able to transform to Super Sailor Moon. Then she could use her "Rainbow Moon Heart Ache" attack and destroy the monster. The Outer Senshi decided to let Sailor Moon keep the Holy Grail for the time being.

A little later Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna were waiting for Mamoru. When he arrived, they transformed, and called themselves the "Three senshi of the Outer Planets." Mamoru transformed to Prince Endymion too. They explained that they had powers greater than the other senshi, and that during the Silver Millenium it had been their duty to defend the solar system from enemies. Then they said that it was their fault the Death Busters had gotten on the planet, and vowed that they would beat them. Prince Endymion asked them why they didn't cooperate with Sailor Moon, but Uranus said that they'd get in the way and that they were too weak.

In a later battle, Uranus kept telling Sailor Moon to leave the battle, but Sailor Moon wouldn't. However, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto couldn't defeat the bad guy. But when Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury arrived, they cornered the bad guy so that Sailor Moon could use her final attack and defeat it. Tuxedo Kamen pointed out to the Outers that even though the girls weren't as powerful as the Outer Sailors individually, that together they were powerful.

Chibi-usa had also made a new friend. Her name was Tomoe Hotaru, and she was actually Professor Tomoe's daughter! However, when around Hotaru, Professor Tomoe acted pretty normal. We actually get to see him in the light; before he was always covered in shadow and all you could see were his eyes and his big mouth. Anyway, Hotaru was a very nice but weak young lady. Chibi-usa sometimes worried about her because she'd get winded after only a small walk. However, Chibi-usa liked Hotaru a lot, and Hotaru liked her too. Hotaru admitted that Chibi-usa was her first friend, because most people were scared of Hotaru and her ability to heal people. But Chibi-usa thought her ability was very neat, which made Hotaru very happy. However, it began to become apparent that Hotaru was being controlled by her father somehow. Sometimes she'd say strange things, and when she touched Usagi's heart compact she remarked about how much power was in it and how she wanted that power too. Usagi also noticed that a person who looked exactly like Kaolinite was Professor Tomoe's assistant. Usagi thought that it was just a coincidence that she looked like Kaolinite, but (as we learn later) Kaolinite had survived the fall off the building and was spending her life in the Tomoe's house tormenting Hotaru.

Eventually we find out that Hotaru was hosting "the Messiah of Silence," a parasitic creature that was trying to awaken fully by eating heart crystals. This is why the Professor was still trying to get heart crystals even though they had already found all the talismans. It turns out that a while back Professor Tomoe was doing an experiment but that something had gone wrong, and everybody had died except for him. While holding his dead daughter in his arms, Tomoe agreed to sell his soul to the Daimon Master for his daughter's life. Then his soul was possessed by the Daimon Master, and the anti-Messiah lived like a parasite off of Hotaru. With the help of the Holy Grail, the Anti-Messiah was supposed to bring silence to the world and destroy everything. She was doing this to invite her master, Pharoah 90, who could only live in silence.

Eventually the rest of the Witches 5 filter through the series. Eudial probably had the largest part of the series; Mimete had a smaller part and was killed when she put herself in a machine to make herself stronger, but Tellu pulled the plug on her. Tellu would use plants to steal heart crystals from people, but she was eventually destroyed by the Sailors (she only lasted an episode). The same can be said for Viluy: she would use computers and electronics to steal heart crystals from people in Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru's private school (Infinity Academy), but the Outer Senshi figured out her plot and destroyed her.

Cyprine assured Professor Tomoe that she would get lots of heart crystals, unlike Kaolinite. Kaolinite was furious, and decided to get the best heart crystal for the Messiah of Silence. She decided on Chibi-usa. Meanwhile, Cyprine was summoning people to the Infinity Academy to take their heart crystals. The girls took off for the building, but Usagi decided not to tell Chibi-usa about it. Cyprine figured out who they were, however, and brought them to the principal's office. The girls transformed to Sailor Senshi and started attacking Cyprine, when her twin, Ptilol, appeared. The girls couldn't attack them because they kept deflecting the attacks. Meanwhile Chibi-usa had had a nightmare about Hotaru, so she snuck out to the Tomoe mansion to see her. Outside the building she transformed to Sailor Chibi Moon, as Kaolinite watched. Kaolinite was glad that she was stealing the heart crystal from a Sailor Senshi as well. When Chibi Moon snuck into Hotaru's room, Kaolinite was about to grab her, when Tuxedo Kamen threw a rose and stopped her. Then Kaolinite knocked Chibi Moon out of the window and followed. Sailor Pluto appeared and used her "Dead Scream" attack on Kaolinite, but Kaolinite cast a red smoke screen and disappeared with Chibi Moon. At the same time, the Sailor Senshi teamed up and managed to get Cyprine and Ptilol to use their attacks on each other, and they killed each other. When they were destroyed, a dimensional vortex appeared, and Mercury quickly examined it. Then they decided to enter.

Uranus and Neptune were walking in a dimly lit passage in the Tomoe mansion. Then they saw Professor Tomoe praying in front of an alter in front of a throne. Professor Tomoe welcomed them and said they were there just in time to see the ceremony. Then Chibi Moon appeared on the altar. Uranus tried to rescue her but was deflected back. The rest of the Senshi arrived as well, and were shocked to see Chibi Moon up there. Tomoe summoned Kaolinite and said that she had done a good job to find such a pure heart. Then the Messiah of Silence, reached her hand out and grabbed Chibi Moon's heart crystal through her chest. Chibi Moon cried out and woke up, and saw Hotaru sitting on the throne. She was relieved that Hotaru was all right, and then passed out. The Anti-Messiah was about to swallow the heart crystal, when Sailor Moon cried out to Professor Tomoe and said that if he loved Hotaru he wouldn't do this. But Tomoe didn't understand what she meant by love.

After swallowing the heart crystal, Chibi-usa lost transformation, and Hotaru rapidly grew to an adult and declared herself the Messiah of Silence, "Mistress 9." Then, after Tomoe complimented Kaolinite a second time, Mistress 9 struck her with a bolt and killed her. Mistress 9 and Professor Tomoe started to leave, and at the same time, the building began to collapse. The Senshi escaped from the building with Chibi-usa, and met Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Pluto outside. At Mamoru's apartment, Mamoru had linked his life force to Chibi-usa's to keep her alive. The Outer Senshi and Inner Senshi both decided to go to the Infinity Academy to save Chibi-usa.

The Outer Senshi were getting there in a helicopter. Uranus and Neptune were willing to kill Hotaru to save the world, but Pluto was having second thoughts. Meanwhile, the Inner Senshi were headed there on foot, when Mistress 9 sensed the arrival of "the chalice." Tomoe remarked that it was convenient that the Holy Grail was heading straight for them, but Mistress 9 said it would be bad to have to deal with them when not fully revived. So she put a dome-shaped barrier around the Academy, except for a black-star opening at the top, where daimon eggs were pouring out from. Mercury said that they couldn't get through the building with their attacks, so they'd have to use the Sailor Teleport. They were just about to teleport, but the daimon eggs transformed into human-gel-like things that hit them like waves. The girls used their attacks on them, but they kept coming. Sailor Moon used her "Moon Spiral Heart Attack" and destroyed a large amount of monsters, and the girls tried to teleport again in the time being. But then Mistress 9 appeared behind Sailor Moon and pulled her through a dimension into the Infinity building. The girls were left outside with the monsters and unable to teleport.

As the Outer Senshi flew towards the barrier, they thought that they might be able to get in through the black-star opening at the top. However, when they got near it, they were engulfed by the monsters, lost control of the helicopter, and exploded. Uranus and Neptune found themselves outside the helicopter but everything being stopped, including the explosion and the monsters. Pluto was also out there with her Garnet Orb glowing. Uranus asked what she had done, and Pluto replied that she had stopped time so that they would live. But by doing that, she had done a very forbidden act. Pluto asked them to find the true Messiah, and then she teleported them inside the barrier and was gone.

Meanwhile, Mistress 9 was mildly impressed by the powers of the Outer Senshi. She remarked that she was so full of power because of Chibi-usa's heart crystal, but then a weak voice said from her voice, "That pure heart shouldn't be used for evil." Mistress 9 was very surprised, but ignored the voice and transformed to Hotaru. Then she said she was going to get the chalice, and ordered Tomoe to get rid of Uranus and Neptune. Outside, the Inner Senshi saw that the barrier around the Infinity Building was growing larger, and decided to use their powers and keep it from growing. Inside, Tomoe told Uranus and Neptune that he wanted to use them as daimon vessels, like "this man here called Tomoe Soichi." Then he began to laugh and a red shadow separated itself from Tomoe and started attacking Uranus and Neptune. Eventually he caught them with thousands of puppet arms, but then Uranus and Neptune heard Pluto's voice, who told them to use the talismans. Both of them generated their talismans, and stood back to back. Neptune used her mirror and saw that of all the puppets surrounding them, only one of them was real. Uranus attacked the real one, and it laughed and exploded.

Sailor Moon woke up and saw Hotaru next to her unconscious as well. Sailor Moon helped her sit up, and then Hotaru started begging Sailor Moon to take out the chalice. She said, "Please hurry, Usagi. Bring out the chalice now... it will save Chibi-usa too." Sailor Moon was silent for a moment, and then asked Hotaru how she knew that she was Usagi. Then Hotaru started laughing. Usagi said that she wasn't Hotaru, but Hotaru said that she was except that she was only the body. Then Hotaru transformed back into Mistress 9. Neptune and Uranus arrived and vowed to destroy her, but Sailor Moon told them not to since she was actually Hotaru.

Hotaru's essence could be heard apologizing to Chibi-usa for not being strong enough. Then it disappeared. Mistress 9 was happy that she was finally dead, but Sailor Moon called out for her anyway. Mistress 9 said that her master would be arriving from the "Tau system" soon, and Neptune and Uranus said they would stop her. They both formed their attacks and threw them at her, but Sailor Moon jumped in the way to protect her. The force sent her flying back only to smack into the force field that was surrounding Mistress 9. Uranus and Neptune yelled at her, and told her to stay out of the way. Mistress 9 used her hair to pin Uranus and Neptune against a statue, and then the hair melted into the statue and they were stuck. Mistress 9 threatened to kill them if Sailor Moon didn't give her the chalice, and, despite Uranus and Neptune telling her not to, Sailor Moon began to bring forth the chalice. Then Professor Tomoe, now un-possessed, started crawling forward from the darkness and whispering "Hotaru." Tomoe struggled forward and put his arms on her shoulders, saying that it was all his fault that things ended up that way. Mistress 9 had been expressionless up to this point, then she told him not touch him and blasted him back. Using her hair, she started to strangle him as well.

Outside, the girls were maintaining the energy field that was holding in the daimons, but the girls were weakening. Inside, Tomoe was still getting strangled, but then a weak voice was coming out of Mistress 9 saying, "Papa... Papa..." Everyone was surprised, and Sailor Moon cried out, "Hotaru?" Mistress 9 started doubling over, saying that her body was refusing her, and Uranus told Sailor Moon to kill her now. But Sailor Moon refused, saying that Hotaru was still alive. Tomoe asked if she was in pain, and Mistress 9 replied that she needed the chalice. Sailor Moon started to generate the chalice again, despite Uranus and Neptune screaming for her to not do it. Neptune said that she wasn't the Messiah, so she had no right to do that, but Sailor Moon said that there had to be some way to save the world but to not sacrifice anybody. Sailor Moon produced the Holy Grail, and gave it to Hotaru, much to Tomoe's delight.

Then Mistress 9 stood up, laughing at Sailor Moon, and said that she would spare Sailor Moon's light by making her a Daimon vessel. Sailor Moon kept calling out for Hotaru, but Mistress 9 told her to give up. "The chalice is the crystalization of a pure heart with love, hatred, happiness, anger, and sorrow at the highest level. You'd have to have a crystal even more pure to defeat Pharoah 90 after he absorbs it! You don't have a chance!" Mistress 9 put the chalice into a glass cylinder, and a black pillar of light shot straight up from the base of the building. The Infinity Academy began to disintegrate. Outside, the the barrier started to expand anyway, and the daimons got closer and closer. Then one bit into Jupiter's chest, and she screamed in pain.

Inside, the Holy Grail shattered in the glass cylinder. The energy exploded outward as Mistress 9 cried, "This way, Pharoah 90!" Sailor Moon tried to attack the black energy that had appeared with her Spiral Moon Heart Rod, but a large beam came out of the dark energy and struck her, knocking her back. Mistress 9 declared her victory, but then a blast of energy came out and headed towards her. Tomoe jumped in the way to save her, and Sailor Moon jumped in front of him and took the full blow. She was severely hurt. Tomoe whispered, "Hotaru," and then Mistress 9 replied, "Papa..." Tomoe apologized to Hotaru for all the bad things happening, and then Mistress 9 started to take over. She told her there was no meaning to her existence and for her to die, but Hotaru replied, "No! Never!" On Mistress 9's head, the black star shattered, and the sign of Saturn appeared underneath it. Then Mistress 9 disappeared. Uranus and Neptune were shocked, and Uranus said, "The Soldier of Destruction has resurrected..."

The faint figure of Sailor Saturn teleported to Mamoru's apartment. She returned Chibi-usa's heart crystal, and said that everything would be okay now. Then she vanished. Meanwhile, the Infinity Academy building had exploded, and Pharoah 90 was exposed and growing quickly. Uranus and Neptune were feeling hopeless, and Uranus said that everything they had done was pointless. She asked Sailor Moon if she was satisfied, who was nearby, crying. Then someone called, "Sailor Moon..." Sailor Moon looked up to see Sailor Saturn appear. Sailor Saturn thanked her for saving her, and said that she would save the world from the Silence. Sailor Moon got up and tried to go with her, but Sailor Saturn replied that it wouldn't be possible because she wasn't Super Sailor Moon anymore. Saturn explained that, being the Soldier of Destruction, she had the ability to destroy whole worlds, but that she would be destroyed when using this power. Sailor Moon tried to stop her, but then Sailor Saturn held out her glaive and stopped her. Sailor Saturn said, "Good bye," and vanished.

Sailor Moon started crying again, and yelled out "Hotaru." Then she started screaming, "Crisis, make up!" She kept screaming it, as Uranus and Neptune watched. Then the Inner Senshi's tiaras glowed, who were floating in the destruction of the building, and Uranus' and Neptune's tiaras glowed too. Her heart crystal came out of her body and formed in front of her, and then she yelled out "Crisis, make up!" one more time. Then she transformed to Super Sailor Moon. Producing butterfuly wings, she flew into the sky and penetrated the barrier that was around Pharoah 90. There was a series of explosions in the barrier, and then Pharoah 90 exploded. Uranus and Neptune looked up and saw a large amount of butterflies flying overhead. The Inner Senshi, who had collapsed on the ground, saw Super Sailor Moon coming forward with an infant in her arms.

The last 2 episodes of the series (it's not over yet???) were dedicated to explaining just what happened in the last episode. Maybe they added them on because everybody was too confused? >:) Anyway, Sailor Pluto explains to Chibi-usa that Hotaru is actually that infant that Super Sailor Moon was holding, while Sailor Uranus and Neptune have some urge to beat on Sailor Moon. They say that she was being irresponsible when trying to defeat Pharoah 90. So Neptune and Uranus try to attack Sailor Moon, but end up running into each other when Sailor Moon jumps out of the way.

And the episode after this, Neo-Queen Serenity sends another letter into the future asking for Chibi-usa to return home. Chibi-usa was actually sad to go. But the girls thought that she would want to go, so they pretended that they were happy for her, which depressed Chibi-usa even more. Chibi-usa disappeared into the future, only to return a couple minutes later with another letter saying that it was okay if she stayed longer. Usagi was very relieved.

* "Odango Atama" is the nickname that Mamoru originally gave Usagi. It means "Dumpling Head," and the dub equivalent is "Meatball Head." Mamoru called her this, and so does Haruka and Seiya. Sometimes they'd call her "Odango" for short.
